Ukraine Strikes Crimea and Russia

Ukraine has intensified its long-range strikes against targets in Crimea and Russian territory, aiming to isolate the annexed peninsula and increase the cost of the war for Moscow. Ukrainian forces struck a railway bridge, a power plant, and other key infrastructure in Crimea, according to the Ukrainian government.

In recent weeks, Ukraine has increased its use of long-range drones, hitting an oil refinery near Moscow and damaging part of the Kavkaz oil port in Krasnodar, as well as two car ferries used to supply Russian troops. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that new Fire Point drones have struck targets up to 2,070 kilometers deep and will soon be able to reach 3,000 kilometers.

According to analysts, these attacks aim to pressure the Kremlin while Russian advances on the front have stalled. Recent satellite images show that Russia has reinforced defenses around the Crimean Bridge, including floating buoys, in response to growing Ukrainian pressure.
